To support the goals of AGCEPD, ADRS staff throughout the state work closely with employers, employment resource affiliates and the community to develop and maintain a network of local governor's committees throughout the state. These committees conduct a variety of programs and activities to inform the public about the skills of people with disabilities. One of the primary responsibilities of these committees is to sponsorship of events to honor employers, employed people with disabilities and other leaders during National Disability Employment Awareness Month. These local committees are convened annually by the AGCEPD to share ideas and resources throughout the state.
