Youth Advisory Committee

The CRS Youth Advisory Committee was established in December 2001.

Goals

  • to provide youth with the opportunity to inform CRS of the needs of youth with special health care needs in order to improve and develop programs that are responsive to the needs of youth
  • to promote the concept that all youth with special health care needs will receive the services to make appropriate transitions to all aspects of adult life, including adult health care, work and independence
  • to provide youth with the opportunity to review and advise CRS on important changes proposed in the CRS program

Membership

Members must receive services from CRS and have participated in youth leadership activities ( i.e., the Alabama Governor's Youth Leadership Forum).

Meetings

The CRS Youth Advisory Committee meets at least twice yearly.
