State Rehabilitation Council

The State Rehabilitation Council, which meets quarterly, has 28 members who are employers, people with disabilities, and parents of children with disabilities. During the quarterly meetings, the council advises the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services on a number of issues related to vocational rehabilitation services. In the past, the Council has been instrumental in assisting the ADRS in the revision of its policies and procedures and in developing consumer satisfaction and employer surveys. Last year, the council successfully created and implemented a statewide needs assessment to measure the unmet needs of individuals with disabilities across the state.
