Alabama Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities ( AGCEPD )

The Alabama Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities ( AGCEPD ) is a program of the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services ( ADRS ). Its primary goals are educating the public about the benefits of hiring people with disabilities and promoting greater independence for people with disabilities. AGCEPD achieves these goals by:

providing information and resources on:
- accessibility in employment, housing or transportation
- Americans with Disabilities Act
- rehabilitation services
- other resource linkages
- affiliation with national disability organizations
overseeing a statewide network of local governor's committees
sponsoring an annual poster and journalism scholarship contest
partnering for an annual Youth Leadership Forum
coordinating events for National Disability Employment Awareness Month
